Golden Gate - Vikram Seth

A mockingbird with chacks and whistles
Liquidly aviating through
A sky of Californian blue

No wistfulness but rather laughter
Tinges their speech. Do they refer
To different beings? Even after
She says to him and he to her
That first love's best by definition
They seem to state a proposition
So distant from their lives that they
Are quite untouched by it today.

There is more but you should read..its amazing stuff :)

Hi!

Not sure if you read the Golden Gate in its entirety, but my friend and I just posted an online dialogue (kind of a 2-person book-club) of the book here:

We'd love your comments if you'd be so kind as to join us.

Thanks!
