I meet someone daily
She stares back at me with an unflinching gaze
Her brown- black eyes don’t hesitate
To put my flaws in place
She never stops loving me either
Encourages me every step of the way
I must learn to respect her more
Make her feel special
Not give in to the daily demands of life
It is time to make the change
Correct these errors
Stop staring at my reflection
Effect the transformation
Ripples of light shine through now
Just enough to let her out
The smile breaks through the gloom
