On a mo...Burnt and overpriced kababs. you mean :-)

On a more serious note, I've been reading a lot of these articles about 26/11 in the newspapers and around the blogosphere and I seriously cannot understand why does 26/11 matter ? Really ?

The so called spirit of Mumbai died the day the people voted people like Bal T. and Raj T. into power and not when terrorists from a neighbouring unfriendly country attacked us.

Too much is being said of the 31cr. that has been spent on Kasab and his security, but does anyone realise important keeping him in custody is ? Atleast the US now is pressurizing Pak to do something about terror, even if they're basically forced to act on it because the Taliban is in their country now, but the point is something is happening.

The govt spends much more than 31cr in a single day for securing J&K and the north east and this amount is peanuts.

The NSG has hubs in metros now, Mumbai police has an elite anti terrorism squad now (Although 2 of their guys "fainted" because the Sun was too harsh during their passing out parade ;) ), and smaller cities like Bangalore are being covered by the Army.

These are all improvements and yes, our Govt. is slow, but does anyone remember what did we do when they hijacked a plane to Kandhar ? We're better off now than we ever were.Sharninderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05236636181956478918noreply@blogger.com
